Morning everyone, today I caught up with one of the newer and youngest members of the herd Sadie, at the trough. Golly it’s been so hot recently, it was nice to relax and have a drink in the shade….Do you like my glasses? I got them from Primark before lockdown- £2 bargain! Sadie doesn’t need glasses she has plenty of forelock to shade her eyes.
Sadie said that she really wants her own mobile phone to be able to get onto TikTok to watch videos. Angela has explained to her that she is too young to have access to the internet and social media and maybe she will think about it in a years time. Eclipse kindly let her watch videos on her phone the other day. I heard Sadie explaining to Cushla what the internet was once but she just wandered off in the opposite direction, mumbling something about “kids these days”.
Sadie is very proud of her tail. It’s rapunzel-like. I’m guessing it’s nearly 5 foot long and almost 2 feet wide! Her tail hair is thick, wavy and long. She could be in a shampoo advert with all those locks! I like putting my neck under it and pretending I’ve got a long mane. One negative though with having such a thick long tail is that she always gets things stuck in it and we have to help her pull them out by standing on whatever it is with our hooves as she walks off. Sometimes it’s a branch of bramble, over the weekend it was a birds nest and I’m sure I found a 50p coin in it once.
Sadie also has special ears. Not only are they the same colour but they’re also a matching shaped pair, which some of us aren’t blessed with….naming no names. Some of you, my friends, look like you have one ear from a thoroughbred racehorse and the other from an old donkey! When Sadie is concentrating and looking forward the tips of her ears almost touch! They sweep up at the ends and look like the waves of chocolate on the inside of a Cadbury Twirl!
Talking of chocolate I’m off to Banstead to join the queue in Waitrose to get some treats for us all. See you soon, keep safe
Love Dougal
