Hi Guys
So sorry I’ve been missing for a few months. I’m sure you have missed me as much as I have missed you!
The Centre has been able to start some lessons for some of our RDA and for able bodied riders so some of the herd have been back to it at the Centre. I, of course, have been left in charge of everyone staying in the field. I have made Gucci the newly appointed spokeshorse for everyone at home and he will be bringing you new episodes “Gucci pigs out with” coming soon…
I, on the other hand, thought I would have a few carrots and a chat with Mr Jack. Did you know that Jack is one of the staffs’ favourite horses to groom as he never gets that muddy? – where is the fun in that!! I on the other hand think I could give a hippo a run for their money in rolling in the mud – all you working from home in your PJ’s and thinking that’s dressing down have nothing on me! Now the winter is coming it’s been a lot easier finding good spots to roll in. Jack told me he would be the judge of the muddiest horse competition.
Jack is now on the lookout for a new partner in crime since we lost Mickey. Mickey and Jack used to be the terrible twins in the field and would always be the culprits for causing trouble. Kiki wants the job but Jack thinks that girls are sissies and cannot be in the club. Anyone got any suggestion? I think he just causes trouble because now Splash has left he is the smallest horse in the herd – but still with the biggest chip!
I was telling Jack that Angela has told me that lovely lady Clare Beale has sponsored us both for the coming year again. Angela said this is a great help to the Centre as it costs £1700 per year to sponsor a horse and it helps covers all our basic requirements such as hay, bedding and shoes – very nice lady with great taste, comes up with carrots and always tells me how handsome I am. If any of you think you would like to sponsor one of us, please ring the office on 0208 643 7764.
Jack and myself were talking about all the riders and how much we are missing them, the staff are very attentive and we get the occasional scratch and cuddle but we do miss seeing those smiling faces – we all hope you are all keeping safe and well and we really do hope to see you all soon.
Love Dougal (and Jack) xx
