Dear Riders, Volunteers, Carers, Supporters and Friends,

LATEST UPDATE

Covid-19 continues to greatly restrict our activities and due to the recent government announcements we have suspended all riding until the 2nd December. We are ever mindful of our responsibility to follow all government and RDA guidelines and are thankful to everyone who have helped our staff keep the Centre safe.

Before the recent restrictions we had been able to re-start some disabled riding, other equine activities such as “Pony Corner”, and expanded our non-disabled riding lessons in order to keep the horses fit, and generate income.

Thanks to these lessons, the help provided by volunteers, the generosity of our donors and some substantial government assistance, our financial position has largely withstood the challenges of the past 9 months.

We are thankful to everyone who has helped the Centre get to where we are today, and wish you all a happy and safe festive season to come.

We’ve been very grateful for the generosity of many individual donors this year, who have helped us so much in weathering the financial challenges of Covid 19.

And we’ve benefitted from the very kind donations of many organisations.  Donations over £1,000 have included:

The Trevor Fund – £10,000

Church of the Good Shepherd – £1,525

Apax Foundation – £5,000

Banstead Downs Golf Club – £2,620

Stella Polaris Lodge – £1,000

Surrey Masonic Lodge – £1,000

MORE THANK YOUS……

BIG thank you to Sandra Longley, the lovely lady who does the Quiz Nights for us at Diamond. We had to cancel the one scheduled in March so Sandra recently organised a Bingo Night at The Fox in Old Coulsdon and raised a fantastic £310 for Diamond. Well done Sandra and we hope to see you back at the Diamond for a Bingo/Quiz Night as soon as we can.
