You may have heard already that Pam Bull and Chris Clay have both been awarded the RDA President’s Award. Both have shown exceptional dedication to Diamond and the work of RDA. Pam Bull has been involved with Diamond for over 50 years from when Keith & June Webb first started disabled riding locally in 1969. Pam has also been coming into the centre regularly to help our young riders with their Grade Test theory. Chris Clay is also long-serving, having been part of Diamond for over 44 years. In the early formative days of Diamond, Chris helped set the standard and paved the way for much of what we do at Diamond today.
The President’s Award is the most prestigious volunteer award within RDA and is awarded to recognise service of an exceptional nature. It is great that their commitment and dedication over the many years that they have been involved with Diamond, has been recognised in this way. It is also fantastic for Diamond to have two people awarded such an important honour.
They will be receiving their awards from HRH The Princess Royal, President of RDA at a presentation on Friday 5th November 2021 at RDA Warwick.
